BULLHEAD CITY — Despite the wide arrangement of law enforcement vehicles parked outside Walmart Saturday morning, there was absolutely nothing the matter.

This multi-jurisdictional “task force” had a delivery to make — officers from more than a dozen agencies brought Christmas joy to more than 100 of the area’s underprivileged children during the annual Shop with a Cop event.

The kids’ day started with breakfast at the Elks Lodge with law enforcement officers from agencies that included the Bullhead City Police Department, the Fort Mojave Tribal Police Department, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.

During breakfast, the kids and cops were entertained by a magician. Then, the shoppers were driven to the store in a parade of patrol cars with lights and sirens on.
